A short presentation of VVS Föreningen i Finland rf (VSF)
The association VSF is established in 1936 and it is the Swedish-language society within the HVAC-branch in Finland. The purpose of this association is to promote technical development in the HVAC field and to educate its members in this technology through lectures, courses and excursions, and to also give the members an opportunity to meet people with common interests. VSF has about 600 private persons as members and some supporting members. VSF has together with The HVAC Association of Finland (SuLVI), Finnish Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate (FiSIAQ) and LIVI established a common delegation, The Finnish Association of HVAC societies FINVAC ry, with the task to submit proposals of equal interests and to represent all societies on international level in the Nordic branch federation Scanvac, in the European federation Rehva and in Ashrae.
Värme- och Sanitetsteknikern VVS
The official organ for VSF, a review entitled ”Värme- och Sanitetsteknikern VVS” (Heat- and Sanitary Technician) is published four times a year and is well-known for its high-class technical articles and for penetrating actual questions in the field. Detailed examinations of new buildings and sufficient space where new products and new technique are presented form a part of this review’s profile. The issue is 1.300 and it is published in Swedish mainly for HVAC-engineers, plumbers and builders in Finland. Some copies are also distributed to the Scandinavian countries.
